Ben Sayers designed links course set among rolling sand dunes. Its scenic qualities embrace the river Bann flowing out to the Atlantic, and also eye-catching views of Donegal and on a clear day towards Scotland and the Isle of Islay.
The 18 hole course spans almost 6,000 metres, variety being its main feature, with lush green fairways meandering through mature woods providing a protective habitat for many wild creatures.
Founded in 1977 by Lord and Lady Moyola and opened by Seve Ballesteros, Moyola Park Golf Club is set in the beautiful wooded parkland of Shanemullagh, a Georgian House occupying 130 acres.
The 18 hole parkland layout takes full advantage of this beautiful setting, with Lough Foyle and the Inishowen Peninsula providing a dramatic backdrop.
