Mount Temple is a traditional Irish Championship golf course. It lies in the heart of Ireland and is renowned for its large links type greens and undulating fairways. It is regarded as one of the best of James Braid's finest designs. Mullingar's championship status was formerly recognised in 1952 when it hosted the Irish Professional Championship, and again in 1959 and 1965.
